> * OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4REV1 LOGIN-REFERRALS STARTTLS LOGINDISABLED] > localhost IMAP4rev1 2002.336 at Mon, 24 Feb 2003 23:12:58 -0600 (CST) See LOGINDISABLED? UW-IMAP is refusing to allow LOGIN authentication without TLS to protect the password from being sniffed. You have several options. 1. Find a way to configure UW-IMAP so it allows LOGIN (plaintext) without an encryption layer (TLS). This should not be anything to worry about if your IMAP server stays localhost; in fact, adding TLS to localhost is a waste. 2. If you feel really brave, SquirrelMail 1.4.0rc2a does support TLS connections, provided that you can set up a dedicated TLS listening port in your IMAP server. By this I mean a port that automatically uses TLS, one that does not require the STARTTLS command to be issued. Hope this helps. -- Chris Hilts [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf -- squirrelmail-users mailing list List Address: [EMAIL PROTECTED] List Archives: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_id=2995 List Info: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/squirrelmail-users
