not in the current SM paradigm, without a lot of hacking, that is (and I'm not convinced that that's such a bad thing) > In a quick chat to another person here, > they said that the usernames are just steve in both cases, but with a > different password, which imap uses to tell them apart. IMAP differentiating users based on password?!? I highly doubt that. In any case, I think the question that we should be asking is why are usernames not more descriptive/dinstinctive? A more robust virtual hosting system typically includes domain information in the username -- "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" > > 2. Sounds like you configured vlogin incorrectly. Again, that person has to be incorrect. If you don't know what your IMAP usernames are, please consult with whoever set up your IMAP server and the question can be answered very quickly. Then we can get vlogin working for you in a flash. The only other thing I can suggest is that if you are able to use IMAP thru another client (Pine/Outlook/etc) then you can get your login information there. You could also try telnetting to IMAP on the command line and playing around with logins until you get a successful login. telnet localhost 143 A LOGIN "steve" "password" ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf -- squirrelmail-users mailing list List Address: [EMAIL PROTECTED] List Archives: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_id=2995 List Info: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/squirrelmail-users
