AFAIK, Cyrus uses its own, proprietary file format. You will have to convert your existing Maildir messages to its format (Not sure if this is possible. You might be able to with Mutt or some other e-mail client that handles IMAP and Maildir by marking all messages in a Maildir folder and moving them to the IMAP folder.) Or you could use UW-IMAP, Courier-IMAP, or dovecot IMAP. They all understand Maildir, though you may have to use symlinks to handle differences in file naming conventions. My preferences are Courier, dovecot, and UW in descending order. You can find several others on Freshmeat.org.
