I found the sollution myself (after 7 hours of seeking) The problem is in the /etc/mail/sendmail.mc file. I had to change the ip-add. from the loopbackadd. to the publicadd. Then after a restart of the sendmail service it is receiving mails like a charm.

I have installed a redhat 9.0 with SM 1.4.1 Everything works on the machine, I can send mails to my exchangeserver and other mailservers. But after I have moved it into production I find that I can not send mails to the SM. I have looked on the linux box it is listening on port 25 to smtp. So what else can there be? with regards Thomas Still with to much microsoft in the head. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now.
