I'm a new Squirrelmail user and have run across a couple problems related to safe mode and so far, this seems to be one more in the list. My server (through a domain hosting service) is in a timezone off by 11 hours from mine. Actually 11 hours, 7 minutes and mine is updated daily with a time server. *grin* Anyway, the timezone setting in Options->Personal Information does not appear and after searching the archives all I could find is that someone said "as I recall" it's related to being in safe mode. If it isn't related to that, what is the problem? And if it is due to being safe mode, what can I do, short of having the domain host turn off safe mode? It has interfered with several plugins and I'd like to be rid of that one. While I'm at it, here's another question. I've been trying to get several things operating that all rely on username and ownership. I know what the user and group names of the server are, but not for me ... or I guess more accurately, for my computer. I'm running Windows on DSL and know the name of my computer and workgroup but that doesn't seem to apply here. I've tried finding it by using $_SESSION["username"] to show the username in a MOTD but it is an empty string. How do I set user and/or group so that I can access certain files? I'd appreciate any help.
