We are using squirrelmail 1.4.1 with RH 7.3 we have dual 1.8 processors and 512 MB of memory. Sendmail is configured on a Raid 5 Drive with the xfs file system. We have installed the imapproxy and php accelersator as suggested. But at certain times of the day we spike to over a 100 on our load average and things slow down to almost a dead stop. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to improve this setup??
We have only 200 people using this at the moment and was thinking on splitting the processes alittle by moving the scripts and files to another server and just let this one handle mail but we are not sure if squirrel mail handles this type of setup. ANy help would be greatly appreciated.
