I'm planning to install squirrelmail (qmail is already up) and need some advice. This setup will involve virtual domains.
My server sits behind a router / firewall, so while the IP that is associated with my domains points at the router, the server has a different, internal IP. I'd like to put all the mail stuff in the cgi-bin directory so that it is accessible by all the domains, rather than have a separate Squirrelmail install for each. So, I've downloaded: squirrelmail-1.4.1.tar.gz compatibility-1.2.tar.gz.tar vlogin-3.2.tar.gz.tar My question is this: For Squirrelmail, what should I list as the domain (remember, this will be serving more than one). I have heard that some people use the IP. If so, what IP (external or internal)? Also, I found that when I made a test install (without the virtual domain add-ons), when I placed it in the cgi-bin, I could not access it by browser (forbidden...). What is the suggested install locations for what I want to do? And, any other suggestions? Tutorials?
