What imap server settings in the config/conf.pl do we need to check?  Could you be more specific?

Sounds like you need to double check your IMAP server settings in
config/conf.pl, although you may want to consider upgrading to 1.4.1
(1.4.2 will be out in a matter of days) before going further with this
problem.
