Hi, Our webhost has implemented SquirrelMail as our Web Interface for Web Mail for us and our clients. Consequently, we have no control over source level fixes to issues.
I wanted to ask if their are any simple fixes for the following, and if they all rest with our Hosting company to fix, or is their something I can do? Can anyone help? Also, what about showing Japanese Characters? How can this be enabled in SqurirrelMail? The browser has this enabled and has had no problems with past webmail interfaces... The other critical issues are: (Quoted from a help desk ticket sent to them) 1. Our client needs to be able to fwd their mail to another address WITHOUT setting it up as an Alias. This is URGENT, it is lost functionality and it impacts the client by tripling or more the amount of times they must sign in Webbased to their accounts. If this cannot be set up in Squirrel Mail easily can it be 'enabled' / 'Set-up'in the Client control.'domainname'.com interface please ASAP? 2. Given they need to mail people regularly from their Webmail accounts, can we please have the Address book feature fixed URGENTLY? It has the error, any way you try to save you get "ERROR: Could not lock datafile " and the fix is (many) available from the SquirrelMail Knowledge base/Support Pages...please! 3. URGENT from way back, to do with control panel, answered in the first instance but not implemented. 'I do not have access to fix this and would like help with it'. ALIASES - The client requires , now URGENTLY to be able to have the one alias [EMAIL PROTECTED] to be updatable with about 30-50 email addresses copied. If you need an explanation as to why please email me, but for now, even if their is a beter way, please can we have this functionality included and let me know how to set it up if my input is required. Less urgent but seriously important are the following: a) Time out of the Webmail accounts - you kindly increased this on their domain for me before the change. Has this gone back? Please could you extend the domain timeout to 30mins at least? b) The sign in screen at the mail.domain webmail interface has no option to cache the details. They use a secure PC behind a corporate firewall with UiD/pw access to their machines, so have no concerns about having the page fully cachable (And not losing the cache after webmail timeout, like what used to happen with imail). Please could we have this addressed asap, after the urgent issues, please? c) Address Book Importer - when its functionality is fixed, please could we have this plug-in asap too. d) Timezones - Asia/Tokyo is correct, but (space)Japan is not, doesn't display correctly ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: The SF.net Donation Program.
