/usr/bin/vacation should be binary file, not link to plugin's directory.

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=3852
http://www.rpmfind.net//linux/RPM/contrib/libc6/i386/vacation-1.2.6.1-5.9.i386.html

please note that you might need to use older SF rpm version or compile
this program from source. RH9 uses different glibc version and rpm
recompiled for RH9 might not work with RH8

sorry that i didn't describe my configuration clearly and which wasted your time on troubleshooting.

referring to the above message, i've reinstalled my vacation program and would like to confirm whether the following settings is ok.

system environment: redhat8, squirrelmail 1.4.0-1.

vacation rpm version: vacation-1.2.6.1-2.i386.rpm (can't download the version you provided from the website)

vacation plugin version: vacation plugin 1.41 (which is a tar file and was downloaded from squirrelmail.org)

after reinstalled the program & untarred the plugin, i could see the vacation configuration interface on webmail. i configure it to auto reply message and then I sent a test message to the mailbox. however, i could get auto reply message from the mailbox once only.

is there any wrong on the above setting?

thanks,

Keith
