The only answers I had found was to increase the memory allowed for PHP. I had increased this to 20M when this bug had appeared previously (caused by a 400k file.) To hit a 20M limit on a 400k file suggests to me that it is being mis-handled and to a lesser degree the bug I have today a 900k email hitting an 8M limit. Hence my question as none of the answers really seemed to address the problem. Thanks again for your answer.
