[SM-USERS] Problem with login

Dear all,
I am facing a problem with login. I know that I have a successful login 
because I can see the right_main.php page but there is an error message on 
it here is the message:

                         SquirrelMail version 1.4.2
              By the SquirrelMail Development Team
                                    ERROR
                 Unknown user or password incorrect.
                            Go to the login page
Can you please help me with that, is it a configuration error or is it 
something else ??

Please help me with that.
