For those of you who have been having major problems with squirrelspell (as I have for the past few months) and no one has come up with an answer. I have found an alternate solution, and all you need is extra is a MySQL database. a little editing in the compose.php and the .js file (if you do not know how to do it, I can send you a tutorial).
I installed it with little difficulty and also use it on my vBulletin system
Works great.
