Uh, er, why not just have the messages moved to the trash, which "hides" them quite well. And they are still there if the user wants to get them back. > Obviously, I have Auto Expunge turned off. If the user is using Outlook in addition to SM, SM will delete messages that shouldn't have been deleted? Generally, auto expunge puts them in the trash where you'd expect them to be, given that "by default, move to trash" is turned on.
