it does.

also, long term plans for the mail fetch plugin (SM core) are to integrate
IMAP functionality.  there is an older (obsolete/out of date?) plugin that
uses fetchmail to do the same thing; IIRC it only supports POP3 at this
time, but since fetchmail is its backend, IMAP support should be easier to
add to that one.
