Trying this yet again. I do not know why there have been no replies; I don't know if my message is not getting through, or what.
Also, I just discovered that opening a Sent message the clicking 'Edit as New' behaves in *exactly* the same fashion as described below. ***original request follows*** I've not run into this before. When I attempt to Resume Draft, I get the following error: "Error creating directory ../config/$data_dir/6. Could not create hashed directory structure!" Sending an email-in-progress to Drafts seems to work fine. Entering the Drafts folder and selecting a draft seems to also work fine, as it does open the draft to a readable state. Error only occurs when I then select "Resume Draft" to edit or send the e-mail. This does not seem to be a permissions problem, at least initially, as chmodding data/ to x777 recursively does not resolve the issue. I do not understand why '$data_dir' was not parsed and replaced properly, nor do I understand why SM believes that data/ lives within the ../config/ heirarchy. My system: RedHat 9.0 (Shrike) Kernel ver 2.4.20-8 Squirrelmail Version 1.4.2 Config File Version 1.4.0 PHP Version 4.2.2 Apache version 2.0.40 Sendmail version 8.12.8, config V10/Berkeley imap unknown (Which imap ships w/ Redhat 9?) Plugins: many. Do not believe related, but will list if requested. Thanks for any help...this is the second time I've posted this to the list; hopefully someone will pick this up this time :) Doc Hogan http://www.dochogan.com ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by EclipseCon 2004 Premiere Conference on Open Tools Development and Integration See the breadth of Eclipse activity.
