Yes, this is very possible.  Please read the web site, the mailing list
archives, and google for lots  of information on how to do this.  If you
use the vlogin plugin:

http://squirrelmail.org/plugin_view.php?id=47

Then if that user goes to

http://hisdomain.com/mail  (or whatever)

, then they only have to enter their username and not the domain info, etc
etc....
