Well I went to the plugins/squirrelspell directory and did not find the INSTALL file anyhwere. I say this as clearly as I can. Its not there. I went to the RPM that I installed it from and did a listing of it. Here is what is in the RPM for Squirrelmail 1.4.1 and 1.4.2 for that matter: /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/index.php /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/js /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/js/WHATISTHIS /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/js/check_me.js /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/js/crypto_settings.js /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/js/decrypt_error.js /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/js/index.php /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/js/init.js /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/modules /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/modules/.htaccess /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/modules/WHATISTHIS /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/modules/check_me.mod /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/modules/crypto.mod /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/modules/crypto_badkey.mod /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/modules/edit_dic.mod /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/modules/enc_setup.mod /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/modules/forget_me.mod /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/modules/forget_me_not.mod /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/modules/index.php /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/modules/init.mod /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/modules/lang_change.mod /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/modules/lang_setup.mod /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/modules/options_main.mod /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/setup.php /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/sqspell_config.php /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/sqspell_functions.php /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/sqspell_interface.php /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/squirrelspell/sqspell_options.php WOW! Amazing and all that! Look its not in the RPM either. The RPMs I might add were downloaded straight from the SquirrelMail WWW site. Guess the RPM packager missed adding this one. I sugguest they fix it, so more "newbies" t o squirrelmail dont have similar issues to deal with in the future due to missing documentation. I was able to search on the SquirrelMail site about squirrelspell and aspell and found very very little useful information on configuring it for aspell. I did find an obsure reference to how to get it configure on Windows. So I decided to download the tar ball instead of the RPM. I did find the INSTALL file there. And followed it to the letter and guess what happened.... It sitll gave the exact same error. It can't be this hard. Whomever is currently using it w/o getting this error. Please post a copy of the sqspell_config.php file so those of us having problems can look at it and see what is wrong with ours. Thanks! Brent S.
