after installing SquirrelMail 1.4.2 and a couple of plugins, I am quite surprised to find that the variable SM_PATH does not seem to work as advertised in doc/plugin.txt. For example, avelsieve 0.9.9 decorates the top pane with the messages:

because it is called with an SM_PATH value of "../" instead of "../../" which would be correct, and quota_usage 1.2 is doing much the same in the left pane.
What am I missing?
