I am currently running 2 squirrelmail servers. One is a test the other I
use regularly. I have setup Squirrelmail with Qmail, Courier Imap, PHP
4.0, MySql 4.0 and Apache2 on my test server. When I open my FreeBSD
Mailing list subfolder, which currenly has 3000+ messages in it, I can
view the index of 100 messages just fine. However if I click on the date
field to sort by date, I get this error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to
allocate 426 bytes) in
/usr/local/www/data-dist/webmail/functions/imap_messages.php on line 601

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to
allocate 147 bytes) in Unknown on line 0

the machine is a AMD Athlon XP 2800+ with 512 megs of ram. Currently
running FreeBSD 5.1, Squirrelmail 1.4.2

After the error is displayed I loose all functionallity. If I wait a few
minutes I can log back into the server. If I try to do this on my
Production server, then I just get a long pause and a "Page cannot be
displayed" error in both the left and right frame.

Any Ideas? Do I need to somehow increase the allowed memory usage by PHP?
