if you use prepackaged version of squirrelmail (1:1.2.6-1.3) - consider
upgrade. PHP scripts change faster than Debian goes stable. It is possible
that this problem is related to form action names. I think it is fixed in
1.4.2 or 1.4.3cvs. If you use 1.4.2 - replace calendar plugin with the one
that is available in 1.4.1 or 1.4.3cvs.

> Apache / PHP 4.1.2

Debian does not compile system locales by default. Default woody
installation does not compile them even when you select appropriate
locales during setup.

If you use SquirrelMail 1.5.0 - remember that it is unstable development
version and check the part about removed translations (Troubleshouting
1.a).

See the part about dpkg-reconfigure and /etc/locales.gen
