/> I've installed the 1.2 secure login plugin but can't confirm if it's
working. I connect to the SM web page but the address still indicates http and not https. I'm running Apache 1.3 in ssl and non-ssl mode. I also installed the compatability plugin.

It will redirect to https when it is working correctly. If it does not, make sure it is activated in conf.pl and turn up php error reporting (or use Debugger plugin) to see if you are getting any php errors.

I've installed the debugger plugin and set it up as the first one in config.php as suggested. Still no https and nothing in syslog. Does it write the log info to some other file? Also, how do I tell if it's activated besides looking to see the line in confg.php that calls it or is that it?

The debugger plugin should spit out any errors to the interface. You can always check /var/log/httpd/error_log (or similar) for PHP notices, warnings and errors there as well. Or even ssl_engine_log or maybe ssl_request_log.... anything...

The first test you should have made is to access your SquirrelMail thru https *MANUALLY*. Did you have success doing that?
