Hmm this does not seem to fix neither of the problems in my case. I don't have the duplicate $body .= $body .= ... in my compose.php file, but replying to this specific mail did not work with 1.4.3 version of SM, and also replying to another mail did work, but in that case the replied text was multiplied many times so its content was unusable. I hope there is something else we can do to make it work.
