/> I'm using SM 1.4.1 on FreeBSD 4.9 with PHP 4.3.6 and am getting the
following error when attempting to get to the login screen.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: session_id() in /usr/local/www/data/webmail/functions/global.php on line 293

Not a SquirrelMail issue... Your FreeBSD PHP install disabled EVERYTHING, then enabled only selected items... make sure you ENABLE session handling./

I just re-downloaded the port and recompiled. FreeBSD presents a menu to select necessary options, and Session was already checked. However, this time I added IMAP to the mix and that seems to have solved the problem.

BTW, IMAP extensions in PHP are not required for SM. SM rolls its own. You fixed it by doing something else, whatever that was.
