which squirrelmail plugin you are using?

You should not provide real system for demo testing. Testing account can
be used to send anonymous messages and spam.

Password changing should be locked in your email system and not in webmail
interface. You will be able to lock password changing only when
squirrelmail is the only place that can be used to change password.
