Hi Please cc me, I'm not subscribed to this list.
I have an Apache 1.3.31+IPv6 install, with an IPv6 interface on the box as well. Apache - ipv6 and other v6 enabled apps log ipv4 IPs in a peculiar fashion (prefixing them with ::ffff:) and this causes an RFC incompatiblity in squirrelmail's message-id format, that has the user's originating IP used in the LHS and RHS of the message-id header. For example - Message-ID: <10631.::ffff:61.11.77.139.1088937474.squirrel@::ffff:61.11.77.139> Colons are illegal in a message id. I would suggest using just date + time stamp + a hash, and generating the RHS of the message id from the hostname of the box squirrelmail is running on. regards --srs ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by Black Hat Briefings & Training.
