Thank you to everyone for the help. Your suggestions were great. I solved the problem almost right after I clicked send. Sometimes I think that solving the problem requires me making a fool out of myself first. It seems to work like a charm. There really was "no such directory" I think I was following two different sets of directions off the Internet when I was setting Squirrel up. I don't have much time to work on this thing so I end up working on it for 20 minutes here and there, and then forget what I did or just read about doing. I created the needed directory and now it works great. I will now see about putting it somewhere other than the spool directory. I'm not sure it's wise to use the spool directory for attaching files, you might want to create a new tree for it, something like: /var/squirrelmail/attach and /var/squirrelmail/data for your data files. I doubt this is the cause, but the spool folder might be special.
