I have no clue what you mean, maybe you could make a mockup of how you think it should look? I'm not "an original coder" but if what you suggest makes sense, someone (maybe me, if I'm bored) will probably make a patch and submit it. While we're on the subject, I'd just like to say that I think the current code for the tree list is pretty much in need of a rework.
