SQ: 1.4.2 UW IMAP Linux Fedora Inbox mbox format stored in /var/spool/mail
Reproduce: =========
Initial state - Inbox file is empty. - Particular email in separate file
Everything works - no errors. Email can be read fine.
Method- 1. Select email and move to Inbox 2. Click inbox folder
Error message shows:
ERROR : Could not complete request. Query: COPY 6:6 "mail/" Reason Given: UID COPY failed: Indeterminate mailbox format: mail/
3. Via ssh - delete contents of the inbox folder Everything works again
4. Repeat step 1 (email is still there as not purged)
Error message shows:
ERROR : Could not complete request. Query: COPY 7:7 "mail/" Reason Given: UID COPY failed: Indeterminate mailbox format: mail/
(please note the numbers have incremented)
Ok I have done a load of detective work. The error seems to be on the subject line header.
In particular the subject contains this: [bpbc]
If I change that to anything else it works.
what's so special about that string?
Thing is - i've tried it in other accounts and it doesn't seem to affect them.
I'm really stumped and losing hair =) I hope one of you genises can point something out.
