I'm getting the following message when logging into squirrelmail.

ERROR : Bad or malformed request.
Query: SORT (ARRIVAL) ISO-8859-1 ALL
Server responded: UID Invalid Syntax

This only happens if the account I log into has mail in the INBOX. When
there is no mail it logs in without an error.

The user names are of the format "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"

The variable $imapServerAddress is set to a different domain
"mail.domain.com" rather than set to localhost. I need it to get mail
from the other domain because that is where the mail is at (duh :) - the
mail is not stored on localhost.

The variable $imap_server_type is set to 'uw'.

The imap server at "mail.domain.com" is IMail 8.13. It is an IMAP4
server.

All other settings in squirrelmail are the default settings that came
with Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 3. The Linux kernel is 2.4.21.
