first translations to Lithuanian were written for squirrelmail 1.0.6 and
1.2.0rc2. Knowledge comes from severals years of work with squirrelmail
and personal tests/experience.

I don't think that there will be any drawbacks, if you are using it only
as personal system. You might have problems only if somebody hijacks your
account and starts abusing interface. If you use that webmail on public
computers or in unsafe networks, make sure that www traffic is encrypted
with SSL, use unprivileged account that does not have shell access to your
server and implement some kind of authentication logging.
