when looking at the header i see my pop username from squirrel:

[original data replaced]

Received: from [IP] (SquirrelMail authenticated user [user***]); by [my squirrel-domain] with HTTP;

any way to hide this?

Think before hiding. This is there for your protection (as a system administrator). If you still need to hide it, use 1.5.1, where you can turn it off or search the mailing list archives or the tracker for a hack for 1.4.x.
