Hi all
i'm running SquirrelMail 1.4.3a-0.f1.1 on a Fedora Core 1 Linux machine with Postfix version 2.0.16 as a imap server and php4.
just to know we have also: fetchmail, mailman, egroupware, apache, tomcat, postgresql installed
we use SM as webmail in our company, all of us in IMAP.
Every 4-5 days we start to get user or password unknown, it become impossible to login (but with our MS outlook we have no problems)
i have seen that if i check the imap messages by using cat /var/log/mailmessages i see the problem, all of the usernames arriving to Postfix are correct but 95% of the passwords are truncated in a random manner, so almost never a user succeed to login.
...blame on me but the only way i found to normalize is a reboot
i hope someone may help us
in this times rich of good free software may happens that if you have a problem skilled people just suggest you to change product (it passed to me, someone told to me about horde) but it seems to me very distant from a company perspective...after all the work to have the stuff work anf the users skilled how you may think to change all?
moreover i like the simple interface of SM.
