I get the following error in SM and can't get past it. . .
*Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 132 bytes) in Unknown on line 0
*Background:
I have a lot of spam i need to delete, so i used Options/Display to increase the no. of messages to index to 999. Now it shows several hundred subject lines in the browser, and this Fatal error shows at the bottom of the screen, and I can't get to the display options to change the display back. The screen is mostly unreesponsive to anything else, even logout, once i login.
Please help. I am a novice (my son set up my squirrelmail) and so i need pretty basic instructions on what to do. Thanks for reading.
Try the empty_folders plugin instead, which might be a better way to do what you are trying to do. To fix your problem, try closing your browser, possibly waiting for as long as possible, logging in in a brand new browser, and clicking stop if needed as soon as you get an options link. You can also just type the options link into the address bar:
http://yourdomain.com/squirrelmail/src/options.php
Otherwise, you'll have to go into your preferences on the server itself and change the value of "show_num" to something more reasonable
