[Forgive my top-post]

The problem is not solved, but the cause has been found.

In Options/Folder Preferences/Enable Unread Message Notification: I set
ALL FOLDERS with Type set to Only Unseen.

At home, this isn't set because it is very, very slow. I understand why
it's so slow; there's bunches and gobs of folders and emails to parse
through to find the Status of the email; whether read or not.

Thus, I submit a request for the following enhancement:

Option to set Options/Folder Preferences/Message Notification Type: with
these options:
---------------
Only Unseen (currently available)
Unseen and Total (currently available)
Only Presence of Unread
---------------
Adding the 3rd option would cause SM to stop searching when 1 unread email
is found, then display the folder in BOLD and moving on to the next
folder, thus shortening the time needed to parse.

Thanks for your suggestions, however. Those items are valuable.
