I've got SquirrelMail running on a Celeron 400 at home. I'm using SM to
help teach myself more about web applications and had a question regarding
failed logins.

It seems that when you try to log in with incorrect credentials, SM takes
5 seconds or so to return an error. This is a good thing, it slows down
anyone trying to brute force their way.

In looking at the code, I am not able to find anywhere that clearly adds
this delay so I'm not sure if it's a timeout someplace, processing delay,
or in fact something that was deliberately added in.

Any insight? If the delay is deliberate and you could name the specific
PHP file and function that it's in it would help me out a lot.

Thanks!
