We've been using squirrelmail for several years. I just tried building a
new email server based on Fedora Core 3 using its standard rpm's
(postfix, dovecot, squirrelmail, apache) and ran into the SELinux targeted
policy issue. It is in the process of being fixed. See

https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-selinux-list/2005-February/msg00181.html

Changing the config from sendmail to smtp also allows squirrelmail to send
mail.

But I'm confused. What are the pros/cons of using sendmail versus smtp?
All the email components are running on the same server.
