Ok.. I will look further into this.. I have a lot of memory allocated to php 
(32 mb)
and 30 sec script timeouts.. but I will look at this a bit more. I Have nothing 
else
that gives me an issue as far as PHP os concerned.. but SM is the most intensive
thing running PHP on the server.. all the other stuff is just webpage delivery
stuff.

32MB/30seconds is not that much. I've seen people with at least twice that on this list saying they have had to increase even more than that (although I've never had any problems with similar limits)
