What Courier version? On all my RHAS3 rigs Courier IMAP 3.0.7 to 4.0.2,
Evo of all sorts, Thunderbird 1.0.2, SquirrelMail 1.4.3a to 1.5.1 CVS,
Outlook Express whatever etc have no problems.

Probably Mutt is looking at an mbox file somewhere in your MTA's
innards. Set up Postfix to deliver to a Maildir file elsewhere, as
documented in the Courier IMAP docs. "Sending" has nothing to do with
"receiving", the one has nothing to do with the other.

Courier IMAP *has* to have Maildir-style maildirs. You *have* to read
the Courier docs.
