Bonjour,
I try to install a vacation program using the squirrelmail
vacation_local plugin.
I succeeded in everything: downloaded the vacation program which the
README refers to (in fact a newer version). Installed the plugin and got
no error either I used the suid program or ftp. The plugin creates all
the files .forward* and .vacation* files announced but, it doens't work!!!
If I send a message to me from an other account, the message reach my
mail box but no automatic reply is sent.
I tried to use the vacation program "by hand" as described in the man page:
| Type vacation with no arguments. (See USAGE below.)

| For example, the message created by vacation is:
| Subject: away from my mail
| From: smith (via the vacation program)
| I will not be reading my mail for a while. Your
| mail regarding "$SUBJECT" will be
| read when I return.
But the created message is only:
Subject: away from my mail
I will not be reading my mail for a while.
Your mail concerning "$SUBJECT"
will be read when I'm back.
No "From:" field.
And I started the vacation program as said in the man page:
| USAGE The vacation, create a .forward file in your home directory
| containing a line of the form:
|
| \username, "|/usr/bin/vacation username"
|
| where username is your login name. The original .forward will be
| backed up to .forward.old file.
|
| Then type in the command:
|
| vacation -I
Doesn't work! No automatic reply to sender!
Did I missed something? I'm using fedora C3 with sendmail. I have a link
to vacation program in /etc/smrsh/. Use of programs seems enabled in
sendmail.cf:
| .....#:grep '^Mprog' /etc/mail/sendmail.cf
| Mprog, Path=/bin/sh, Flags=DFMPelsu9oq, Directory=$z:/,
What can I do?
