How many folders? Do you have it set to display the count of new mail
on all folders? Did you, I know an obvious silly question, hit the
refresh button? What about logging out of SM and back in again?

Sure, the example would have been better if they'd not used a
namespaced folder as it might cause confusion.

Sure, it also doesn't say that subscribed folders must be shown either

Sure, which is probably one of the reasons that the development cvs
version has code that allows you to show all folders regardless of
subscription status ;)
