2005/6/28, Nigel kendrick <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
This one is perplexing me: I have three servers with pretty much indentical
configurations; two are running the latest SquirrelMail
(+PostFix+SpamAssassin+ClamAV+IMAP/Dovecot) on CentOS4 (RHEL4) and one is on
CentOS3.4 (RHEL3). All three servers are running the secure_login plugin but
one of the CentOS4 servers just gives me 'unknown user or password
incorrect' if I try to login via a secure (https) connection - if I remove
the plugin and do a regular (http) connection it's OK.
I have checked the LoginError wiki pages and a few other suggestions about
cookie and php.ini settings to no effect. I have compared as many ini and
config files between the two CentOS4 servers as possible and have drawn a
blank - the only thing I am not sure about is that the working '4' server is
on a site with a single fixed IP address and the non-working one is on a
site with 5 fixed IP addresses and I know that the IP resolution (ie:
whatismyip.com) from this site tends to return the ISP's gateway address for
our site rather than the actual IP address of the server - could this be
causing problems or am I way out on this?
Any suggestions or debugging hints would be appreciated.
Thanks
Nigel Kendrick
