The versions of the above software that you're running would be
good... ;)
But except for that, I run my Squirrelmail installation on the
same server as my mailman lists, and I don't have any problems
whatsoever sending to them. I don't recall having to do anything
special to get it working, either. Just a data point.
I'm on OpenBSD 3.6-STABLE, running Mailman 2.1.5, Squirrelmail
1.4.4, and netqmail-1.0.5.
