Ah. SM 1.5.1CVS, here. Well, I downloaded it and tried it out for you,
but all I get is options.php errors (using the SM debugger add-on).

Ok.

I don't use those scripts.

Roger.

Yes.

Yes.

No, I enter my Samba server's netbios name. It's not localhost.

That's a load of crap (it may well be true for the plugin, but it's not
necessary for Samba 3.0.14a).

$change_ldapsmb=0;

//$mkntpwd="/usr/local/sbin/bin/mkntpwd";

I have the mkntpwd samba binary in /usr/local from a previous source
install (at present I'm using Samba.org rpms that install to), but it's
not necessary for Samba Windows password changing any more. smbpasswd
does all that.

Yes.

Shrug - I don't want my users (on my live site, mostly school teenage
pupils who cause enough trouble already, the rest teachers and staff) to
be able to change their passwords anyway.

Sorry I couldn't help any more. IMHO you'd do best to ask Simon Annetts,
[EMAIL PROTECTED] diectly.

Best,
