Can we stroe the users data/info like the Name, prefrences ..etc in
MySQL DB? so we can run the SM in many front servers, and they use
same DB.
Please RTF(ine)Manual before wasting our (limited) time here. This is
easily answered if you read about the software.
This might be a good time to review the support model for open source,
free as in beer software. The folks who write it donate their time, and
when they are good enough to write clear documentation about commonly
asked questions, it's considered good form to review the docs before
asking questions. (Now when the developers *don't* document answers to
commonly asked questions... that's a different story!)
This is significantly different from the paid software model where one
has a service contract and can call the support line to ask any question
any time.
Given that these differences exist, it's a good idea to consider how the
geeks who write this software work,
Who you callin' a geek? ;)
and what they consider a "good"
question. Eric Raymond has written an EXCELLENT article on this topic,
which can be found here:
http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
I'm sure that most on this list have read it, but it's VERY handy to
review from time to time, and it's a great idea for those new to the
open source community to learn how to get the answers they need.
