I don't see anything about Maildir/cur nor Maildir/tmp in this. Nor
subfolders thereof.

To my mind, it's a horrible solution. Calling Courier's maildirmake out
of /etc/maildroprc or ~/.mailfilter offer all of the possibilities (and
more) that OP's asking for.

Then, as Jonathan wrote, "just use mb2md".
