Hi Jon,
let's try it again:
At first I gave you an account on my Imap with following address:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
The login is just the same as the mailaddress. Password is "angliss"
without quoting.
For testing this mails goes CC to this address.
And as I said in my last email, that is not the command we issue to
see if the folder has unread messages. We use STATUS. Try changing
TEST_0 to the following:
STATUS INBOX (UNSEEN MESSAGES RECENT)
See what results you get back then. Do you have another mail client
polling the folder at the same time?
This ist the answer I get if I test the IMAP with test_0 and the
user-defined test:
*TEST_0*
*Request:*
A003 SELECT INBOX
*Response:*
* 1 EXISTS
* OK [UNSEEN 1]
* 0 RECENT
* FLAGS (\Answered \Flagged \Deleted \Seen \Draft \Forwarded)
* OK [PERMANENTFLAGS (\Answered \Flagged \Deleted \Seen \Draft
\Forwarded)] Permanent flags
* OK [UIDVALIDITY 1116022808] UIDVALIDITY value
* OK [UIDNEXT 11] may be the next UID value
[READ-WRITE] SELECT completed
*TEST_9*
*Request:*
A004 STATUS INBOX (UNSEEN MESSAGES RECENT)
*Response:*
* STATUS INBOX (MESSAGES 1 RECENT 0 UNSEEN 0)
STATUS completed
At the moment the request was sent no other session was running.
That doesn't make much sense. Can you send a screen shot, or upload
one somewhere so we can see EXACTLY what you mean?
Best is to test it on your own on the above named account, I think.
Greetings
Max
