Hi everyone, I am using SM 1.4.5 on a w2k box with hmailserver and it is running very well thanks to the wonderful help I have received from you folks so far. I am still in the tuning phase though and I'm trying to straighten out the inbox date display for users. The inbox real estate is very precious and I would like to limit the date display to only the first 3 letters of the month and the 2 digit date so I can allow a longer subject line.
E.g. Jan 2 instead of Jan 2 2006 or Thu 9:05 PM. So far changing the options has yielded partial results but I would really like to have it only display the 3 letters of the month and the actual day the email was received. I traced the mailbox display function to printmessageinfo in functions/mailbox_display.php and found the date case where it grabs the emails $msg['DATE_STRING'] but I am not familiar with how to manipulate the date_string to make it into the date format I want. If someone could point me in the right direction of possibly a tutorial on it or if it is a quick change and someone can provide the code, I would greatly appreciate the help.
