Hey folks, long time no see.

I've been an SM user since just before 1.0 was release I think in
early 2000, I like it a lot, currently on 1.2.9. I finally got around
today to testing out an upgrade. So I installed 1.4.6rc1(downloaded
in the past hour). Configured it to suit my settings, re-downloaded
the current copy of the plugins i was using and logged in using
Firefox 1.04(Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10)
Gecko/20050925 Firefox/1.0.4 (Debian package 1.0.4-2sarge5)).

When I clicked on a folder in the left frame, the folder loaded
in the right frame, but the left frame disappeared(same result as
right clicking a folder and opening it in a new tab/window). I
tested this in Mozilla 1.7.8 too(Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686;
en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050927 Debian/1.7.8-1sarge3), with the
same results. Logged out and back in a few times testing it, no
change. I removed all of the configured plugins and the results
were the same. I downloaded 1.4.5, copied the config.php from
1.4.6(with plugins) and copied the plugins directory to 1.4.5
and the results were the same... (clicking on a message in the
INBOX or on any of the configuration options at the top on the
right frame while in the INBOX preserved the left frame)

..for a minute..

then ?!?!?! all of a sudden under 1.4.5 in firefox the left frame
stopped vanishing. So I went to 1.4.6, and it was ok there too!!

thinking WTF I tried 1.4.6 in mozilla again(logged out then in
again), and the left frame still disappears there).

I tried searching the mailing list(the search interface is
somewhat lacking), and doing some google searches and checked
the FAQ but didn't come up with anything helpful.

1.2.9(and all earlier versions) had never done this.
..maybe it's a browser bug I'm not sure.
