Hello, Everyone I have just spent a few hours fighting this in a variety of ways: our friend, google, and just trying to fix this problem myself. At least I have not made it worse.
I have set up Squirrelmail on our Fedora Core 3 system. I have three email accounts that I have set up for various family members, myself included. All of these accounts are served off of our own computer. All of this worked perfectly, until I came home this evening and decided to try to experiment with Squirrelmail a little bit further than I had up to that point. What I did was I tried to set up some folders in my wife's account. This did NOT work. The result was as follows: ERROR: Could not complete request. Query: LSUB "/home/elizabeth" "*" Reason Given: Invalid mask Here is a link to a screenshot of the above: http://www.afolkey2.net/squirrelmail-screenshot-1.jpg Squirrelmail still works great with my account, as well as my dad's. I have tried the following with my wife's account to try to narrow this down: 1. I deleted her user account (home directory and all files contained in it, hidden and non-hidden.) 2. Re-created her user account (with the same name as before) Result: same error quoted above, and same as the one in the screenshot. I also tried creating a different, fresh account for my wife. This works perfectly. I also looked for any user specific or system wide configuration files, just to hopefully get back to where I started from, but no luck. I did find quite a few references on google when I searched for, but the ones that looked good at first were all in czechoslovakian! To wrap this up, Squirrelmail had been working perfectly for me with all three accounts that I tried it with. Worked perfectly with every browser that I tried on our Fedora Core 3 system here at home, and also worked perfectly on all of the browsers that I tried it on on a few different Windows XP machines that I tried at church last night. My email account, and my dad's email account still work perfectly with Squirrelmail. The "elizabeth2" account that I created as an experiment works perfectly as well. The only problem is with the "elizabeth" account. The problem there being the error message quoted above, summed up in the subject line of this email, and is contained in the screenshot linked to above. Thanks in advance for your assistance on this. I REALLY like Squirrelmail a lot so far :) Also, if you need any more information from me, let me know and I will be glad to oblige. Steven P.
